What are we looking for?

Wootzano is looking for self-motivated graduate computer science/electronics engineer to join an existing experienced team working to develop a novel electronic skin for robotic end-effector applications.

You will be working to design, build, test, and prototype interfaces to our novel sensors, which enable haptic and tactile feedback for robots, prosthetics, and smart surfaces.

This is an opportunity for the candidate to work with cutting edge technology and solve real-world problems.

The ideal candidate should be creative and keen to apply their existing skills to this emerging field of technology. They should enjoy expanding their knowledge, skill set, and working within a friendly dynamic team.

Mandatory Skills

  • Circuit Design

  • PCB Layout

  • Systems Integration Experience

  • Analytical problem-solving skills

  • Independent working ability

  • Excellent communication skills

  • PhD, MEng, BEng in Electronics Engineering or related, PhD preferred

  • Debugging/Electronic Test

Desirable Skills

  • C++

  • Microprocessor programming and integration (NXP, ARM Core)

  • GUI

  • Simulation, Modelling, and Validation

  • Full Clean Driving Licence

The role is full time (40 hours per week) working mainly at our Sedgefield location but may occasionally be asked to travel to clients (reasonable travel subsistence costs will be paid for by Wootzano).
